    If they stayed with BRASS door handles…….

    By the way, they do not want consultants to look like consultants. I have been in hospitals where the cleaners wear the same scrubs as the young doctors. The only difference is the stethoscope round the doctors neck.

    several people have said that it’s a political move to control doctors rather than infections. It’s all rather silly, isn’t it.,..

    That is why they knew it was probably OK for Dave and Nick and his spin crew. But MRSA may have a different twist. You do not need to touch patients and in Hong Kong, Long sleeved doctors were OK for MRSA.

    The surgeon in question seems to have gone on leave. This is decidedly bad news.

    The Trust has a uniform policy here;http://www.guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/resources/about_us/foi/policies/dress_code_policy.pdf it includes the need to wear “plain muted colour
    socks”.

    jeez.
